If you are hosting a birthday at home in Cascais, we take over the food entirely, from the first canapé to the last washed glass. We cook at our kitchen, finish at yours, and serve through the evening so the host actually gets to sit down. It works in the houses around Birre, Quinta da Marinha, Alcabideche and the Estoril side, indoors or in the garden.
We arrive around two hours before the guests, set the buffet or the table, and take over the kitchen without rearranging your life in it. Welcome drinks and canapés cover the arrival hour, the main food comes out once everyone is there, and dessert waits for the cake moment. At the end we clear, wash, take our equipment away and leave the kitchen as we found it.
Gardens here suit food that survives an evening breeze and does not need a knife and fork. Grilled prawns and octopus salad, lamb with herbs, roasted vegetable platters, a good cheese and charcuterie board, plus a warm dish or two held on chafers for the later hours. For mixed-age parties we add simple options children will actually eat, and keep a vegetarian line running through the whole menu rather than as an afterthought.
We bring plates, cutlery, glassware, linen and serving equipment, so you are not counting whether you own twenty forks. Staffing is scaled to the guest list: for a standing party of thirty, two people is usually right; for a seated dinner, more. Tables, chairs and a bar setup can be added when the garden needs them.
Only for finishing and plating. An oven, a hob and some counter space are enough, and we can work with less if we know in advance.
We do. Our own equipment leaves with us, and anything of yours we used goes back clean to its shelf.
Tell us the date, the number of guests and the style — we'll send a tailored proposal.
