Full catering means we cover the whole food side of the birthday in Cascais — the children's table, the food for the adults who stay, all the tableware, the setting up and the clearing away afterwards. You are left with the cake, the candles and the photographs. Most parties we do run at home, in a garden, or in a hired room at a club or restaurant along the coast.
Children and adults want quite different things, so we plan two menus and bring them together. The children get small, recognisable food they can hold: mini burgers, chicken skewers, cheese and fruit sticks, savoury muffins, fruit skewers. The adults get canapés and a proper buffet, so the parents who linger are looked after rather than picking at the leftovers.
We bring plates, glasses, cutlery, napkins, serving dishes and linen, and we can rent in extra tables or a bar counter if the space is short. Our team arrives ahead of the guests, lays everything out, keeps the tables topped up during the party, and takes it all away at the end. Nothing goes into your kitchen sink.
Send us the list of who cannot eat what and we will plan around it — nut-free is standard for children's parties, and gluten-free, dairy-free and vegetarian dishes are prepared separately and labelled. We keep at least one plain option on the children's table, because there is always someone who only eats plain pasta or plain bread that day.
