We cater small countryside events in and around Oeiras — quinta lunches, garden anniversaries, family celebrations of 15 to 60 guests — with a buffet that is cooked to order and set up at your venue. The food is Mediterranean at heart, with a few Slavic dishes we grew up with, and it is built for long, slow afternoons rather than a quick service. Everything arrives ready: tables dressed, dishes at the right temperature, someone from our team on hand.
A typical spread runs to eight or ten dishes: two or three warm mains, a roasting tray of vegetables, three salads, cold cuts and cheese with fruit, breads, and a small dessert corner. Because guests come back to the table over several hours, we keep the layout generous and refill quietly rather than serving in fixed courses. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes sit in the same line-up, clearly labelled, so nobody has to ask.
The estates and family houses on the edge of Oeiras, towards Barcarena and Queluz, often have a kitchen that is charming and completely unsuited to cooking for thirty people. We prepare in our own kitchen and bring what the venue lacks — chafing dishes, cooling, serving tables, crockery, linen. If you send us photos of the terrace or garden before the date, we will plan where the buffet stands so the queue does not cut through the party.
We start with the guest count, the hours the food needs to hold, and anything the group cannot eat. From there we propose a menu, adjust it once or twice by message, and confirm quantities about a week before. For a country setting we lean on dishes that sit well in warm air — marinated vegetables, slow-roasted meats, cured fish, tarts — and keep anything delicate for the moment guests sit down.
